How to get prepare for the Launch of Your profitable Google AdWords Campaign

Launching a profitable Google AdWords Campaign can be an exhilarating process. Despite the fact that there are several recommended ways through which you can launch Google AdWords Campaign, one of the successful is setting and managing AdWords campaign using a checklist. This may involve listing the key elements through a step-by-step process. The steps listed below are inherent in creating a profitable Google AdWords Campaign from the scratch

Customer Demand
The first element is customer demand. It is quite obvious that if the customers are not searching for the products or service you have in Google, then advertising AdWords search will not work. It is therefore important that before you are happy with regard to launching a campaign, verify whether is search volume that you are going to offer. In doing so, then you can use the Google AdWords key suggestion Tool.

The second element is referred to as Fourth Grade math. This should come in before you finalize the keyword list. The importance of this element is that it will prevent you from going for key words that do not offer you an opportunity of being profitable.  In order to know whether you can afford to advertise on a particular keyword, you will need to first calculate the maximum cost per click (Max CPC) and compare it with estimated keyword CPC in the keyword tool

The third element is competitor intelligence. Competitor intelligence comes in after you have a list of buying intent keywords that you are very sure you can afford. Here, you need to reduce your risk through leveraging competitor intelligence through trying to figure out the ads, keywords and landing pages that work and those which do not work in your market. You can try and get information on this from your competitors.

Fourthly, it is important that you create a powerful USP that will not only generate more traffic from qualified prospect but also skyrocket your sales conversion rates.

Fifthly, owing to the fact that with AdWords you get paid when people click on the ads. It is therefore important that you ensure that you have compelling ads that have high click through rate (CTR) as well as provide irresistible services that will attract more traffic to you site. Ensure that you also display your URL in a way that will make it stand out.

Another important thing that you can consider is creation of a dedicated landing page that will match the keyword and the ad in order to make the entire sales process to be congruent so that your prospect will be assured that they are going down on the right path. You can do so by providing appropriate headline, which is actually the first thing your prospect will read.
Creating a conversion tracking will help to measure sales generated from the AdWord campaign and to be specific, it will enable you to know which keywords and ads are generating sales and which are losing money.
After you have been in a position to do this, then you can hit the campaign button and be ready to optimize your site

New Google Map Updates For India

google maps
Google has added turn-by-turn navigation and live traffic updates for Indian users of its Maps application on Android smartphones. Users accessing Maps via the iOS app or Web will also be able to see traffic information in select Indian cities (list below).

While basic driving directions have been available in Maps forever, the new feature adds navigation features typically available in "pro" apps or GPS units.

Now you can simply type or speak your destination address and voice-enabled directions will guide you to your destination. India is the latest addition to the list of countries where Google offers these features.

Google has also launched live traffic updates within maps for Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune but, surprisingly, not Kolkata. Red is the colour indicating heavy traffic, while green indicates free flow, and yellow is somewhere in between.

Users running Android 2.2 or later can access Google Maps Navigation and traffic information by downloading the Google Maps app from the Google Play store, if it isn't pre-installed. the The traffic information is also available via the Google Maps website

Mr. Darren Baker, Product Manager for Google Maps, said:

"We're extremely excited to bring Google Maps Navigation and live traffic information to Google Maps users in one of the world's most dynamic and fastest-growing markets for online maps, and we're confident that these features will help Indian users find their way around town with greater ease and convenience than ever before."

Ban the unwanted sites from your Google Search

Google has been getting better at identifying and removing spam websites from their search results pages but sometimes not-so-useful sites do manage to slip through the Google filters. What can you do to prevent such sites from appearing in your Google results?

Approach #1: Block Sites at the Browser Level

Google offers an easy-to-use Chrome add-on called Personal Blocklist that lets you block entire web domains from showing up in your Google search results. If you spot any irrelevant website in search results pages, just click the block link (screenshot below) and all pages from that website will be hidden from your Google results forever.

google Search engine

The Chrome add-on implements client-side filtering – the blocked websites are still getting served in Google search results as before and the add-on simply hides them on your screen using CSS.

A limitation with this approach is that it works only inside Google Chrome. That is, if you are searching Google inside Firefox or maybe on your mobile phone, the site filters that you have created in Chrome won’t be available to you.

Approach #2: Block Sites per Google Account

Google also offers a web dashboard for manually blocking spam websites, one URL at a time. You can add up to 500 different websites to your blocked list and Google won’t show pages from any of the included sites provided you are signed in with your Google account. That’s the promise but unfortunately, this solution doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Approach #3: Google Search with a Global Filter

If you would like to create a “global  filter”  for your Google search results that works inside all browsers including mobile devices, you can make use of Google’s Custom Search (CSE).

CSE, if you are new, is Google except that it is meant for searching a smaller set of websites and not the entire Internet. Now here’s a little trick. You can do a reverse configuration such that Google CSE searches the entire Internet except the websites that you think are useless. Here’s how you can set it up in 2 minutes.

Step #1: (optional): Assuming that you have been blocking websites using the Personal Blocklist add-on in Chrome, click the BlockList icon in your Google Chrome toolbar and choose “Export” to download the list of all sites that you have blocked so far.

Step #2: Click here to create a Custom Search Engine. Give it a name, description and in the “Sites to Search” section, enter all the popular TLDs (like *.com, *.org, etc) one per line.

google Search engine

Step #3: Click Next to save the changes. You’ll have an option to test your CSE. Click Next again and on this screen, click the link that says “Include more sites.” This is where you’ll enter the list of “bad” websites the should be blocked in Google Search Results.

Choose Exclude Sites -> Exclude Sites in Bulk and enter all the domains that should be removed from your Google search results. You can even copy-paste your Chrome Block list here. Save the changes and your “clean” Google search engine is ready.

[*] If you would like your Google search engine to search all known TLDs and not just the popular ones, go to the Manage Search Engine page inside Google CSE and change the “How to search included sites” option from “Search only included sites” to “Search the entire web but emphasize included sites.”
Google CSE results are as relevant as the main Google web search engine and the layout looks good on mobiles and tablets as well. The only manual work you will have to do going forward is to keep the Chrome block list and the CSE exclude list in sync with each other.

Google's Experiment - Sony Product

Google's experiment to bring Plain Vanilla Android to Sony's Smartphone.

Sony Xperia S

Jean-Baptiste Query (JBQ), Google's Technical Lead of the Android Open Source Project delivered the good news.

Sony Xperia S was selected to this experiment according to JBQ:
"it's a powerful current GSM device, with an unlockable bootloader, from a manufacturer that has always been very friendly to AOSP."
Sony of course will have to play a role in the project as well, but given the company's good record with AOSP involvement, we doubt it will be an issue.

Google's project will essentially bring the Sony Xperia S into the privileged fold of the Nexus family of devices - a mighty great perspective, which is bound to make the handset a lot more attractive.

As you would expect, the feature is currently limited to a few locations that too only in US, but with time we hope to see it rolling out elsewhere.  As we have already noted that Indoor maps currently provide a very basic functionality and its accuracy is also in question, considering that you won’t be getting any GPS signal indoors. So, Google Maps will be at the mercy of WiFi networks and cellphone signals.

There is no search option available right now for Indoor maps, so if you are standing in Home Depot and wanted to find a specific section, you will have to look for that in the map instead of search.

Current list of locations that are supported by Google Maps for Android’s Indoor Maps feature:
