Description :

Simple installer will let you to install the Android OS in Windows PC ( just like installing the application/exe file in Windows OS ).  

Caution  (Read Before install):

• Can install Android on "USB Disk" or "SD Card"
• Can install Android on Windows partition (Drive C: ).
• No risk to Damage HDD Partitions, Boot Data or User Data
• It’s like WUBI (Ubuntu installer) NOT a WUBI Based Installer.
• After installation you will got an option at boot to select Windows or Android.
• Not Work if GRUB is the default boot loader
• EFI Not Supported

Requirements :

• Android x86 ISO
• Windows Boot Manager/NTLDR is the default Boot Manager
• Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8 32-bit or 64-bit
• .NET Framework 4

Steps to Install Android x86 installer :

1. Go to this Link and download any version of Android .
2. Launch the Installer (Installer Link).
3. Select the downloaded ISO file .
4. Select the partition which Android will be installed to.
5. Select “User Data Max. Size” which will store download Apps and User Settings
6. Click Install and wait about 5 min.

NOTE :  Installation time depends on “User Data Max. Size”. ( may be more than 10min with 32GB )

Steps to Uninstall :

1. Start->Control Panel -> Programs and Features
2. Select Android and click on “Uninstall”
3. Just press any key and wait until screen disappear.

Some more notes (Helpful during/after installation) :

1. How to change Android Screen DPI ? open C:\menu.lst and add DPI=120 or any value at the end of kernel line.
2. I'm waiting too much time and installation still not completed, what's going on? Installation time based on "User Data max. size" value it will take about 10min with 32GB with 1GB, it will take about 1min or 2min.
3. Installer window not responding?  During installation installer may appear like not responding but it's still working. don't worry
4. Can it be installed with Windows 8 and ubuntu (installed with WUBI) ?  Yes,it won't mess up anything

• Version 1.1: automatically detect if VGA Card require xforcevesa nomodeset, no more android black screen

Do you want to find out how to install IIS on Windows XP SP2 without actually having the SP2 CD?

unpack the SP2 installation file using WinRar  and compile a CD image file from it.  mount that on CD image onto a virtual CD.  install and use this Virtual CD to supply the missing files which are somewhere inside the I386 folder.

Here are the steps you can follow to install IIS without having a Windows XP SP2 CD:

• Download the XP SP2 installation file (softwarepatch.com/windows/xpsp2.html) if you do not already have.
• Extract the content of the file into a folder using WinRar (win-rar.com) or similar compression software;
• Start installing IIS using standard procedure (Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs > Windows Components)
• When it prompts for source folder, browse for the I386 folder that you extracted earlier
• When it prompts for missing files, browse I386 and its sub-folders for them.

The solution was easier than it look. You do not need to riskily alter the Windows security folder. You do not need to spend time merging SP2 into Windows XP CD. All you need to do is to use what were already there.

Advancements in digital signal and image processing combined with biometrics have made face recognition and gesture recognition possible. So do you think eye tracking technology has remained just a dream? No, because in last year’s CES Tobii’s Gaze UI made this impossible feat actually practical. Gaze UI allowed user to navigate, scroll, zoom and select number of options on Windows 8 based system. In CES 2013, Tobii Gaze Interaction unveiled their new USB peripheral: Tobii Rex.

Tobii Rex is aimed for eye-tracking. Now you can control menagerie options of Windows 8 based system using Rex. Rex achieves this control using pupils movements combined with other controls like mouse, touchpad or keyboard. Now you might be excited to know how Rex captures these movements. Isn't it Actually, amazing feature about Rex is that it fits easily to the bottom of desktop or laptop screen. USB is used to plug Rex to computer. Rex is somewhat pen-like rectangular, but bit larger than pen. So, now you can say that Rex is Gaze UI ++, because Rex supports both keyboard and touchpad inputs.

Before using Rex, you have to calibrate it with your eye-movements. This calibration process is of 30 seconds. You just have see moving dots on screen, and your system is ready to capture your gaze movements. Calibration has to be done only once. Using Rex, you can zoom in/out maps, photos, etc just by varying your point of focus of eyes. You can go through your emails, play with apps, etc. Rex not only assists you in doing your routine tasks, but even it is beneficial for gamers also. Gamers can enhance their gaming experience with gaze movements.

How Rex works?
As mentioned earlier, Rex can be used to scroll, select, and zoom in/out things on your system. To enable eye tracking, 2 things must be done. First calibrate your eye movements on the system you will be using. Second, be ready to use delete, insert key and squiggly line below Escape key.

Let’s see how to control your apps using Rex:
To Select: Squiggle line provides exposure to all apps. You can gaze at app you want and press Delete key. App you wanted to use is selected.

To Scroll: Scrolling is done using Insert key. Just gaze at portion you want to scroll with Insert key pressed, scrolling will be done. But there’s some nit here. Scrolling speed is slower than what we are habitual to. So users who you want faster scrolling speeds, avoid Rex in this context.

Consumer version of Rex will be available late in spring 2013. Developers can avail Rex by paying $1000. Tobii gave hint in CES that it’s not going to stop here. They have bigger goal to achieve yet. Tobii engineers will be working against the clock to embed this USB peripheral within devices. Tobii will also try to bring Rex-like technology within tablets; after all today all manufacturers are aware about one fact: tablets make money. In short, Rex with Windows 8 systems is like cherry on top of ice-cream.

An Australian technologist has claimed that Facebook can track the web pages you visit, even when you are logged out of the social networking giant.

According to Wollongong-based Nik Cubrilovic,

when the user is logged out of Facebook, rather than deleting its tracking cookies, the site merely modifies them, maintaining account information and other unique tokens that can be used to identify its users.

This simply means that any time you visit a web page with a Facebook button or widget, your browser is still sending personally identifiable information back to Facebook.

"Even if you are logged out, Facebook still knows and can track every page you visit,"

 Cubrilovic wrote in a blog post.

"The only solution is to delete every Facebook cookie in your browser, or to use a separate browser for Facebook interactions,"

he added.

Cubrilovic said he tried to contact Facebook to inform it of his discovery but did not get a reply, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

He said there were significant risks to the privacy of users, particularly those using public terminals to access Facebook.

"Facebook are front-and-centre in the new privacy debate just as Microsoft were with securityissues a decade ago," 

Cubrilovic said.

"The question is what it will take for Facebook to address privacy issues and to give their users the tools required to manage their privacy and to implement clear policies -- not pages and pages of confusing legal documentation, and 'logout' not really meaning 'logout'," 

he added.

Most of the people are used to electronic media devices like USB Drives by present. But at early days people used to save the data on Compact Disks (CDs). Normally CDs were used to keep saved their memories in photos, videos etc.

But with the CDs getting older and are issued on durability. Most of the CDs are now found with scratches.
Some procedures that can remove the scratches temporarily.

Procedure:

• Take a soft cloth. Place that cloth on a flat surface. Make sure the cloth is not wet. Place the CD on the cloth.
• Hold the CD on one hand and smoothly wipe the CD with the soft cloth. Give more concern to the starched areas. Don't hold the CD tight. Simply do some short and smooth strokes on the CD along the scratched areas. But don't rub it across the scratched area. This will make the scratches worse.
• If you see no scratches wash the CD with some water. Don't wipe it with clothes if it's wet. Let it be dry, now you can play the CD.

Some toothpaste can also be used, if deep scratches are found. But this should also be wiped along the scratch, not across the scratch.

Windows 8 boots so quickly that you can’t get time to press F8 or F2 keys to access advanced boot options such as boot into Safe Mode and other boot options
The developer-focused options for Windows startup, methods for accessing the firmware’s BIOS setup, and a straightforward method for booting to alternate devices such as USB drives.

Press Win+R keys together to launch RUN dialog box. Now type bootim in text box and press Enter, this will open the boot loader without administration rights.

To return to desktop simple key combination Alt + TAB Select.

Note: Open the bootim in Administrator mode. 

To Open the bootim in Administrator mode, follow the below steps:

Open the search file option by pressing c+f

Type bootim in search bar, results will appear
Right click the item; a strip bar will appear  below and select Run as Administrator.

Note: If "Continue" button is pressed, the cursor will be vanished. So again press  c+f , search bootim and run as administrator. Now close the bootim by right click the taskbar via Task Manager cursor will appear. (It may be a unnoticed bug left by Microsoft).

Rename the subtitle file to the same name as the video but with a .sub or .srt extension
(Be sure to turn of Hide extension for known files types in Windows Explorer under Tools->Folder Options->View).
Example:

• video.avi
• video.sub etc 

Steps 

First we must install a subtitle filter. You can use ffdshow or vobsub subtitle filter.

Using vobsub filter
Install vobsub and you are done. To change subtitles settings run the vobsub configure from the
Start menu->vobsub.

or Using ffdshow filter
Install ffdshow and run the ffdshow Configuration from the
Start menu->ffdshow->Configuration.

1. Select Subtitles in the menu to the left
2. Enable the subtitles.
3. Hit Ok.

Now should the subtitles appear if you play the video with Media Player. If not then the subtitles may be in wrong format.

Converting to VCD,SVCD,DVD or AVI

Convert with TMPGenc
Start TMPGEnc and close the Wizard. First change the Directshow priority in TMPGEnc (the Directshow reader reads the subtitles the same way as Media Player).

1. Select Option->Enviromentel Settings 
2. Select VFAPI Plugin 
3. Right click on the Directshow Multimedia File Reader and select Higher Priority, repeat it until it is on the top of the list. 

Open the video with wizard or manual. The subtitles should now appear. Use File->Preview in TMPGEnc to check that you can see the subtitles before encoding.

Last just convert to VCD  or SVCD   or DVD   as usual.


To convert to AVI,DivX or XviD with permanent subtitles use TMPGEnc. In TMPGEnc first close the wizard, choose file->new project, open the video, choose File->Output to file->AVI File. Select a video compression like DivX or XviD and choose an audio compression like MP3 and hit save.
Done.

Stuck with Error or Having Problems :

• The subs doesn't appear.
• Try with both ffdshow and vobsub. Be sure that subs are in sub or srt format.

Be sure to change the directshow prirority in TMPgenc.

Installation Steps:

• Download and open the Windows installer to run the Ubuntu.
• If you are using Internet Explorer, you'll be asked whether you want to run or save the file. Choose 'Run' to launch the installer.

To start the installation, click 'Save' and then double-click the downloaded file.

• If a security message like this appears, click 'Continue' to proceed.

• To install Ubuntu, all you need to do is choose your user name and password. Do note that you need to enter your password twice to make sure you typed it correctly.

• After choosing your password, click 'Install'. The files will be downloaded and installed automatically.
• Wait until Ubuntu is downloaded and installed. This can take quite a while – the downloaded file size is around 500MB - but you can keep using your computer throughout.

• When the installation is complete, you’ll be prompted to restart your computer. Click 'Finish' to restart.

• After your computer restarts, choose 'Ubuntu' from the boot menu.
