Say No To Mouse - Pc trick

Below are the Steps which is useful when your mouse is broken or no longer working !

  1. Use keyboard as mouse (Windows 7 - Steps Updated)  (or)
  2. Mouse Emlator
  • Use Keyboard as mouse :

    1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Accessibility Options 
    2. Click the Mouse tab
    3. Check mark in the box titled: Use MouseKeys .
    4. Click the settings button to adjust the pointer speed
    5. Click OK
    NOTE : For Windows 7 , Ease of Access Center has replaced Accessibility Options in the ‘Control Panel’.

    Steps For Windows 7
    1. Open Ease of Access Center press . click Start button -> ‘Control Panel’ ->  ‘Ease of Access’ -> ‘change how your keyboard works’.
    2. Mouse Keys enables you to use the numeric keypad on a standard keyboard as a three button mouse
    3. Press ‘Alt’ + ‘M’ or click to select ‘Turn on Mouse Keys’, to customise click to select ‘Setup Mouse Keys’ or press ‘Alt’ + ‘Y’.
    4. You can turn on the keyboard shortcut Alt + left Shift + Num Lock, to allow you to turn on and off the Mouse keys as you need to use them. To use this option, click to select or press ‘Alt’ + ‘K’
    5. You can turn on a visual warning ‘Alt’ + ‘A’ when Mouse keys is turn on or click to play a sound ‘Alt’ + ‘U’ when it is turned on or off.
    6. Pointer speeds when using Mouse Keys can be tailored to suit your needs by slowing down or speeding up the rate which it moves
    7. Press ‘Alt’ + ‘W’ or click to select the option to alter these settings, by using the Ctrl key to speed up and Shift to slow down the mouse pointer.
    8. Top Speed is the maximum speed of the pointer when the mouse key direction key is held down.
    9. Acceleration is how quickly the mouse pointer accelerates to its maximum speed.
    10. Under Other Settings click to select to Use Mouse Keys when the Num Lock is selected or when NUM LOCK is Off
    11. Press ‘Alt’ + ‘N’ to Use Mouse Keys when NUM LOCK is On.
    12. Press ‘Alt’ + ‘O’ to Use Mouse Keys NUM LOCK is Off.
    13. Click on Save or press ‘Alt’ + ‘S’ to save your options.

    • Mouse Emulator :
    Mouse Emulator is also very usefull for laptop owners with low quality mouses. Just hold down the Fn key, and you can use the numeric keypad in the center of your keyboard to move the mouse!

    The program recognizes the following keys: (NumLock must be ON!)
    • Keypad 1 - Left mouse button 
    • Keypad 2 - Right mouse button 
    • Keypad 3 - Middle mouse button 
    • Keypad 4, 5, 6, 8 - Moves the mouse left, down, right and/or up respectively. 
    • Keypad 7 - Mousewheel up (Scroll) 
    • Keypad 9 - Mousewheel down (Scroll) 
    • Keypad / - Toggle Left mouse button (Useful for RSI users) 
    • Keypad * - Toggle Right mouse button (Useful for RSI users) 
    • Keypad - - Toggle Middle mouse button (Useful for RSI users) 
    • Ctrl + Keypad 0 - Enable/Disable Mouse Emulator
