Do you want to find out how to install IIS on Windows XP SP2 without actually having the SP2 CD?

unpack the SP2 installation file using WinRar and compile a CD image file from it. mount that on CD image onto a virtual CD. install and use this Virtual CD to supply the missing files which are somewhere inside the I386 folder.

Here are the steps you can follow to install IIS without having a Windows XP SP2 CD:

Download the XP SP2 installation file (softwarepatch.com/windows/xpsp2.html) if you do not already have.
Extract the content of the file into a folder using WinRar (win-rar.com) or similar compression software;
Start installing IIS using standard procedure (Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs > Windows Components)
When it prompts for source folder, browse for the I386 folder that you extracted earlier
When it prompts for missing files, browse I386 and its sub-folders for them.

The solution was easier than it look. You do not need to riskily alter the Windows security folder. You do not need to spend time merging SP2 into Windows XP CD. All you need to do is to use what were already there.

Just when you wonder why ‘science can never be fun’, Apple introduces a new app for its iPhone and iPad users called the ‘3D Brain’.

The 3D Brain is an educational app that is created to give us a deeper understanding of the working of the human brain. It provides information from the basic level to a much more advanced one. So it isn't just for all those aspiring neurosurgeons, or psychologists. It’s also apt for us normal folk, on a hunt for further information on that vital part of us that aids in the proper functioning of our body.

On initiating the app, an image of a brain comes into focus, with its various regions marked using different colors. You can rotate it around to view all sides of it. One side of the brain is even translucent so as to enable you to gain insight into its interiors. You can even ‘zoom-in-and-out’ of it.

This app was created by ‘Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSH)’ to provide us with a resource for ‘beneficial information’. The 3D Brain does justice to just such a motive, as one can gain a wealth of information through this app. No longer will one ask “Cerebellum? Is that a new brand of cereal?”

The 3D Brain has a labeled image, so as to pin point various regions of the brain, to us. If you don’t wish to view them, though, you can simply deactivate the feature.

You can derive further information on the said regions, simply by clicking on the ‘Info’ button. It will even provide ‘case studies’ for certain ‘instances’, to give you a better understanding of it, via ‘real life’ incidents.

The iPhone version does have certain glitches in comparison to the one on the iPad. The screen being much smaller than the latter, when clicking on ‘Info’, the ensuing tab practically takes up the entire screen. This renders us incapable of viewing the image and the info at the same time.

Also, navigating your way around the brain is quite a problem. Since one can only go around it via a tiny ‘bar’ at the right-hand corner of the screen, it makes it quite uncomfortable for us to go about our navigation. “It isn't as convenient as we’d like it to be”.

But, considering the pros of this app, one can willingly overlook its little problems. The vast knowledge that we can gain from it, is an aspect that one may not be willing to sacrifice in the name of inconvenience.

One needn't turn to an encyclopedia, anymore. This app not only provides us with an abundance of information, but also an experience like never before. Where else can you view the human brain from every angle possible? “Well, not counting the one in your lab of course. But then again, not all of us have access to just such privileges”

So now you no longer have to lug around heavy books, and flip through ‘yawn-inducing’ material. The ‘free’ 3D Brain app makes ‘learning’ so much more fun. And you can carry it around with you…in your pocket. “Who knew ‘gaining knowledge’ could be this simple?”

One part that bothers me most about my Android phone, is having to make a backup every few days . If it is something essential in any smartphone which needs back up often, then there are only few programs or applications that do this job decently. It is true that we can neglect certain types of data to which we do not give importance (such as registration of contacts, the SMS list and call log), or because we have them synchronized in other ways (for example : contacts Google).Although it is also true, there are some users who need to safeguard all those files .

As I said, there are applications that make backing up your data and / or applications. And still others, in addition to that copy, synchronize data with cloud . Today I bring an application that stands out from the others. This includes options beyond the conventional ones, such as the list of contacts, call logs and SMS.

G Cloud Backup is very easy to use , at the same time very practical . With a simple and intuitive interface , at first start it will ask us to create a user profile. That done, it take you to a screen where you will see a list and select what things we include in our backup . The list includes contacts , call logs , messages , documents, images , music and videos .

One of the major shortcomings of the application is that you can not make a in depth selection of what we want or do not save. We can not choose to save images or videos, but we must keep it all. This is a pretty big limitation , since the application itself restricted the size of the copy to 1GB .

Once the selection is complete, connect to the Internet, it will start the copy process. When it get finished, we can decide whether to activate the option that the application makes a backup every day or not . In addition, of course there are other options such as trigger a notification to let us know when to run the backup process or whether we want to do backups only when connected to a WiFi network .

And all this is free? Well, no . The application itself is free, but as I said before, only have 1GB of space available. A more than enough in most cases, but falls far short of that I have in Box 50GB or 5GB I have in Dropbox (for the face, both). If we have infinite storage, we have two options: a monthly payment of 2'49 € or an annual payment of € 30'45 ,

S-VOICE : Many of the android user have heard about the s voice . its a feature coming up with samsung galaxy s3 . One among the pretty amazing feature of samsung galaxy s3 .
S - Voice will ask a REQUEST and RESPOND , similar to Siri from Iphone , It is a official app and its been only released or available for the samsung galaxy s3 . The application No more work on any other device apart from Samsung Galaxy S3.

But you can still make this application work with few tweeks :

Modifiying the application Build.prop -> ro.product device from Galaxy nexus to (Your Device Model) and the ro.product model as same .

Some still strugggle to make it to work as it get network error and some find difficult in changing the Build.prop.For those people dont worry Xda team has found the solution to work it in SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE device .

Unlock Password Protected Memory cards - SYMBIAN OS

Hi guys today have planned to share a tricks for you all , the trick will be very usefull for the NOKIA SYMBIAN OS users.

Memory cards :

A memory card or flash card is an electronic flash memory data storage device used for storing digital information.. They are small, re-recordable, and able to retain data without power.
some experienced users also stores confidential information, contacts, messages etc in it and sets up the password to protect it from unauthorized access
if you forgot the password then its hard to open your memory card and access the data inside in it
even nokia software solution wont provide any softwares to unlock your memory card

Simple steps to unlock your memory card password :

First of all, Download FExplorer in to your mobile phone.
run FExplorer and go to C: drive then System folder (C:system)
Search for the mmcstore file name and copy this file into your computer.
Now open this file with Notepad in your computer.(alternative option : Rename the file to: ‘mmcstore.txt’ and double click to open it)
Now you will be able to see the memory card password in this notepad file.

NOTE :

it will work on almost all s60 series.
for the macro sd cards use sd card adapter(it is around INR 30.00)
