Adobe Photoshop is a widely popular graphics editing software program. Its various features help users make images better and integrate creativity into the images. There’re a lot of things which can be done using Photoshop and it is the most favorite software program of professionals who handle images. Photoshop equips you with all the tools necessary to transform images and is the most powerful go-to source for all kinds of image modifications. Initially released as a simple photo editing program, it is now a full-fledged suite with all the tools necessary to turn ordinary pictures into extraordinary images easily. The great flexibility that it offers makes it the best of similar photo editing tools. The warm welcome that this program received encouraged Adobe Systems to release improved versions of the software and now they have released a supporting app for Photoshop.
The app is available on iTunes and can be used on iOS powered devices including iPad, iPad 2, and devices running on iOS 4.2 or higher. It supports Adobe Photoshop CS5 version 12.0.5 or later. The app establishes a connection between the iDevice you are using it on and the computer running the Photoshop application. To use the app, both the devices should be connected to the same wireless network. The app supports four languages including Deutsch, English, French and Japanese. If you are using Photoshop CS4 or earlier versions, you can upgrade it from Adobe’s website. It is available as a part of the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 software or you can also buy the Photoshop software alone from Adobe Systems. The app is ready with new features and bug fixes. Let’s dive right in to explore what’s new.
Image Transfer:
One of the important features of this app is direct image transfer. You can transfer the images you have stored in your iDevice to Photoshop directly, with a simple tap and start editing it immediately. Retouching of images has been made easy, because the images are transferred through a wireless network and hence it can happen almost instantly.
Access to Photoshop Images:
You can use your iPad to access about 200 Photoshop images. To access them, you have to leave them open in Photoshop and all you have to make an image active is to tap on it. Once you activate an image, you can start editing it.
Image Sharing:
Apart from letting you access Photoshop images easily, the app also lets you share images easily. You can share images that you’re working on using Photoshop on your iPad and edit them. To make the images available for sharing, you will have to keep them open in Photoshop.
Photoshop Tools:
To edit the images on your iPad, you will need Photoshop tools. As you won’t have the software on your iPad, the app gives you access to Photoshop tools. You can choose the tools you want to work with from the pool of tools in Photoshop, directly from your iPad.
Customize Toolbar:
Another reason to download this app is its toolbar. You can create and customize your own toolbars. You may use certain tools frequently and may not use other tools often. In such cases, you can create your own toolbar with the tools you use often. The toolbar can accommodate up to 16 tools. You can also add Photoshop actions to different toolsets in the app.
Two other apps namely, Adobe Color Lava and Adobe Eazel were also released along with Adobe Nav. Adobe Color Lava is helpful to mix different colors and form new colors, while Adobe Eazel helps users create images with fingertips, which resemble real pictures, on touch enabled devices. You might consider buying these two apps also, to make the most of the Photoshop software.
