One click update your latest Android Os on Your Galaxy Nexus -Force CheckIn Trick

Hi guys as i posted in the Facebook page about the official Android update 4.1 ,4.1.1 ,4.2 ,4.2.1 and 4.3 will be out by tomorrow . if you are very intrested and eager to get it by now then you can use the force update steps to get the Android jellybean 4.1,4.1.1,4.2,4.2.1 and 4.3 update to the nexus device .

Requirements :
  • Fully stock Galaxy Nexus device
  • Wifi Connection to download the software update

The Following steps to be Followed :
  1. Go into Setting -> Apps -> All -> Google Services Framework
  2. You will see a button for “Clear Data”; clear it.
  3. Go into your dialer and type *#*#2432546#*#* - This will cause a ‘force checkin’. You will notice that it shows “checkin succeeded” across the top.
  4. Go back to Setting -> About Phone -> System updates and then click the check now button.

Biggest differences between ICS and JB:

This part will be a little bit messy because I'm going to change it a little bit but I really don't have that much time so I will do it in parts

Changes in Settings:
  •  Data Usage Graph is now linear, like in CM9

  •  The account-settings are now a seperated category in the settings
  •  Developer options have been rearranged and new ones have been added
  •  Now there's an arrow downwards instead of the back button when the keyboard is opened:
  •  There is an other lockscreen animation and you can access google now from lockscreen
  •  New animations
  •  Access google now instantly by swiping up from the home button
  •  Process of adding a new word to the dictionary have been optimized
  •  New Wallpapers

  5. hey, what will it exactly clear ?

    1. it will reset your smartphone system update to the past , so that when you click on the system update (after clearing data and stopping service framework)it will check for the latest update and you will be able to get the latest update.

  6. hey, i did all they steps, then went to check now, but says my system is still up to date with 4.0.4 :/

    1. Thanks for your comment first of all :) well its been a successful story for many .
      1. i request you to do as many time as possible(generally min 5 times it will take). make some gap timing and try it ..
      2. make sure you are in stock (many android system requires stock (default))
      * Hope you get what i mean about stock (no custom rom default rom while purchase , your android system should be in )

  7. Does force checkin mean Rooting & loosing Warranty?

    1. Nope .. it will restore the android system software to base (date of android system software is set to some years back) . what actually it does is force the android system software to check the update . after downloading(automatically done) the software it will overwrite by iteslf (you wont lose any warranty or apps or contatcs as well by doing this . as you make the android system to force check and make the system to download the software by itslef :) )

Hope my reply helped you :) thanks for your valuable comment :)

  8. I have persisted with multiple approaches. Still, two days after receiving my phone, no update has come. Thanks for your suggestions. I will continue to try it. Some have had to do it many, many times.
